A couple of new things with my blog!

I updated the cover photo for Flutter! We are now sporting my new gorgeous cover!

So check it out if you haven't already!

I have now added a Flutter Goodies page where you can pre-order a signed (if you choose) copy of Flutter. Order now & you will get a signed Flutter bookmark! You can also purchase Flutter bookmarks too!

I have been asked by several people for Flutter swag and I will be giving out some stuff during the month of October (more on that coming soon!) but a few friends pointed me to CafePress & Zazzle and the Flutter store was created! Check out the new CafePress page on my blog for all your Flutter you're heart out!

And last, but certaintly not least, I will be adding a pade dedicated to my favorite bloggers!! A few that I have gotten close with and are amazing supporters of me and Flutter, so keep checking for the release of that within the next few days!!

Just a quick update: Flutter is only a few chapters away from being completed & is already with the editor as I am typing this! I am super excited for October to be here & I hope everyone else is too!

Flutter Cover Release!!

So I have been painfully waiting day's to release the official cover of Flutter

and I am so flippin excited that the day has finally come!!

I couldn't be more thrilled at the gorgeous cover design, Regina at Mae I Design and Photography, created for me! it is absolutely memorizing and I have done nothing, but gaze at it since I received the final design!!

it has been a HUGE sucess and I am so grateful for everyone who has helped spread it around :))

a new book is born!

So I'm lying in bed last night, playing around on my phone and all of a sudden there is a conversation going on inside my head and then I'm instantly hit with a new book idea!

So today as I am trying to wrap up this chapter in Flutter, I keep hearing the voices and the the first scene in the Chapter for the new book idea start playing itself out in my and I can't keep it quite no matter how hard I try. So I pull up a new page in word and just start writing it out and before I know it I've written 5 pages and I'm still going.

Probably going to write a little more of this WIP and then finish working on Flutter again tomorrow. Not sure where exactly this is going to go, but I have a general idea and I'm kind of excited!

Here is just a little bit of the scene I wrote today - Enjoy!

“Don’t get any ideas. I’m still very deadly without the beast here.”

I put my hands back up and together behind my head, tangling them through the dark strands of my hair. “I come in peace.”

“People who come in peace usually use the front door. They do not try to scale my back wall.” I heard the dirt shift below her weight and realized she had taken a step closer to me. Turning my head I tried to grab another peek at her, but she was still not in line of my view.

“Wait, you mean this isn’t the front door?” I heard the ground shift again and I knew she had taken another step closer.

She had let me distract her and that was her first mistake.

Her second mistake: getting close to me.

pretty in pink

Make over time!

So I decided to give my blog a little make over and of course I went with pink!

I think the way I had it before was just a little to hard to read and I like it much better this way so I hope everyone else will to!

I have a few other changes to make - I'd like to add a few more widgets to my blog so that its easier for people to find me as well on facebook, twitter & goodreads.

I'll also be updating all of my pages as well with the current info on my upcoming book release and cover release as well!

well hello there stranger....

I'm back!

I've been MIA for a few months now and below is the reason why... *sigh*

I'd like to introduce the newest addition to my beautiful little family <3 Katie Isabelle was born on June 9, 2012 weighing in at a tiny 6lbs & 11oz. She was born after only 4 1/2 hours of labor, the shortest of my last two labors. She is a little over a month and half old and I've just been enjoying every minute of her!

I started writing a little only a week ago and it's taken some adjustment and I probably shouldn't have waited until after she was born to start up again, but I think its going to work. I just couldn't seem to get motivated to write any earlier and I've tried to write when I don't have my mojo and it's no bueno. So I didn't want to end up having written something that I knew I hadn't put 100% effort into. I do however wish I had gotten a little further into my book before I stopped writing.

My pregnancy was way harder and very different this time around and I really didnt expect that! Morning sickness seemed to kick in a little late, but lasted a lot longer and basically kicked my ass. After finding out I was pregnant I spent the next four months either in my bed all day or in the bathroom, I ended of losing quite a bit of weight and I was just plain misrable! For those who don't know me well, I am a HUGE baby when it comes to being sick, so I was not very pleasant. It was very hard before I have a 4yr old and 6 yr old as well, so it was hard trying to keep up with them as well and I couldn't just do nothing like I felt like doing. Fortunately my 6yr old was in school for most of the day, I had to stop walking her in the morning though and she started taking the bus. I did have to still take care of my 4yr old and I'm sorry to say most of the time she was stuck in my room in bed with me.

Anyway, by the beginning of the year, morning sickness was finally starting to fade and I was slowly starting to feel like myself again. I started doing more exercise to feel better and getting out of the house more, but I still couldn't get into writing yet and I had pretty much abandon everything including my facebook friends and blog. I didn't have very much time to enjoy the 'easy' part of my pregnancy before my third trimester kicked in and I was just uncomfortable for all new reasons! All those sleepless nights and slow days would have been a perfect time to write, but I wasted them away. I wish I hadn't neglected a lot of the things I did and the friends I had made, because they had helped me SO much in the beginning and some even now which I am incredibly grateful for! I've gotten a lot of support from two very awesome people: author Shelly Crane, who had featured a insert of my book in her Devour series (check it out if you haven't already! She has also written the Significance series which is good too!) & blogger Mandy @ I read indie book blog (follow her at http://twimom101bookblog.blogspot.com/) THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!

I'm happy writing again and even though its hard work trying to juggle a newborn, a toddler and soon to be first grader (eek!) I know I can do it. My husband is a HUGE help when it comes to all three girls and has totally stepped up in helping me with getting a routine going, so I am extremely lucky there. I am going on a very strict writing schedule and hoping to finish my book (+editing) and have it out by no latter then the end of October, so keep your fingers crossed for me! I will also be setting up a few giveaways when I get closer to finishing the book and getting ready to release so please keep checking
back for those updates as well!

we interrupt this program for late breaking news...

Grrrr, I hate that I am not very Blog savvy & I kind of messed it up, but on the bright side that's what my husband is for...among other things! So for now it will have to stay a mess until he gets home & can rescue his computer damsel in distress.

So Shimmer, which by the way is the new title of what was once Tamed, should be out probably at the end of next month & I am super excited about that!! If you haven't already heard, my book will have a small insert in Shelly Cranes new series Devour, which is turning out to be great!! So look for that next month as well.

Working on the cover & should hopefully have that done by the end of this weekend. I was hoping to have it done by the very talented Claudia at Phatpuppy Art, but I'm going to have a go at it myself, but hope to use her for the second book in my series. She is very talented & you find her on Facebook or her website at www.phatpuppyart.com check her out blog peeps.

I am helping a friend this weekend on a wedding so I wont get much writing done on Saturday, which I am actually really sad about, but I can't cancel now. So I will do it & hope it goes by fast so I can call it a late night when I get home with finishing up a chapter or two or pass out haha.

SO I thought I would get in one quick post before I am off for the weekend!

My 5 year anniversary (7yrs total) was yesterday & we are celebrating it by getting away for the weekend! Going to go up to the lake & enjoy the cool weather while we escape the triple digits that will be attacking mesa this weekend. Suckas! I know that was uncool, but true.

Making great progress on the book & I have no doubts that I will have it published by January, eep! Sent a couple of chapters off to a few betas this weekend & I am hoping to have some good feed back this weekend (fingers crossed!) I also might have some exciting news about my book, but I wont know if that is for sure until later this week, but again FINGERS CROSSED!

Going to enjoy my electronic free weekend & soak up a little sun & relax with my hubby. Tootles!

now you see me, now you dont

& I am back to blogging again...well hopefully. The amount of time I spend on twitter, facebook & now goodreads is rightfully embarrassing & yet here I am on blogspot. Obviously I'm shameless. I could have written 10 books in that amount of time instead of halfway through just one. Well probably not, but I could have finished Tamed at least.

I think my problem is I can't seem to stick to one idea! I'm too creative for my own good bahahaha. Just kidding...kind of...sort of, but not really. I've decided my days will be a lot more productive & I will actually write more instead of talking about how I don't have time to write. I think it would just be SO much easier if I had someone to help sort me through my messy head, but I realized I am wayy to paranoid for that so I am stuck to suffer by my own demise. Blah!

So I am getting off & hoping to help sort Adan out of his own messy head...TTFN
